The presence of biological constituents like glycosides, saponins, tannins and flavonoids are mainly responsible for the pharmacological activity. The review focuses on potential effects of the Pterocarpus marsupium concerning with various biological constituents therefore, there is great opportunities for the researchers to find out novel therapeutic aspects.
